Adding waves together
In general, the result is the sum of the original waves.
In the very special case that the two waves have
the same frequency and the same amplitude,
then there is a simple result ....
Adding waves (with same frequency) via phasors
When two wave the same frequency but
different amplitudes,
or when there are more than two waves with identical
frequency,
then it helps to use phasors to add the waves.
