Workshop 2B: Vectors

Today, we look at a tool even more useful (perhaps) to physicists than graphs: vectors.

First, we need to discuss that basic mathematical properties of vectors. What are they, and how do they work? In particular, how can we ADD and SUBTRACT vectors?

Our next exercise will involve some arithmetic with vector quantities -- but these vectors have uncertainties. If we add two measurements, what is the uncertainty in the result?

Put your new knowledge to the test.

Our final exercise today involves both vectors AND uncertainties.
