Help Menu

The Help Menu is used for accessing help. All help documentation for DS9 is in HTML format. DS9 uses NETSCAPE as the default browser. If NETSCAPE is currently running, it is used to display documentation. If it is not currently running, but is available, it will be invoked. If it is not available (can not be found in the current shell path), and error message will be issued. The URL of the Reference Manual and the User's Manual can be configured via preferences. DS9 can be configured to use a local copy of the documentation. For more information, see HELP
