Image of NGC 869, one of the Double Clusters in Perseus, taken with the 16-inch telescope at RIT around 01:07 UT Dec 22, 1997. This unfiltered, three-second exposure with a Meade Pictor 416 CCD camera and focal reducer shows stars down to about V=13.5 (and maybe even 14.0 if you look hard). Image of M13, a globular cluster in Hercules. Also taken with the 16-inch telescope, this 60-second exposure with no filter shows stars down to about magnitude V = 15.
