The weather forecast wasn't very promising, but I set things up at the Observatory several hours in advance. The skies did clear for a few hours, and I verified that the event would take place before Uranus moved far enough across the sky to be hidden by a tree. All was looking good ... when the clouds came back, about 35 minutes before the event.
It was completely overcast, and even sprinkling a very light rain now and then, at the time of the occultation. Rats!
