May 15, 2022: Open House for Lunar Eclipse

The event was a success, thanks to the (mostly) clear skies and to our wonderful volunteers:

Somewhere between 120 and 200 visitors came to watch the eclipse with us. Quite a few completed all the tasks listed on the reverse side of our flyer (see below) and thereby earned the title of Lunar Astronomer.

We set up our Unitron 105mm refractor in front of the garage, as it had the best view of the Moon rising early in the evening.
