On Dec 10, 2019, four members of the student Astronomy Club from SUNY Geneseo came to visit RIT. We began with a tour of some of the people and places of the AST program at RIT, moving from the Carlson Center to Engineering Hall, and eventually to Gosnell Hall. Along the way, we stopped to chat with several astronomy professors and students, as well as to peek into several laboratories.

We then piled into our vehicles and drove over to the RIT Observatory. We were hoping to observe some celestial objects, but, alas, the weather was (as usual in Rochester in the winter) not cooperative. So we settled for an up-close-and-personal inspection of some of our telescopes, and a nice discussion of some of the currently hot topics in astronomy.

We'll try again, maybe in the spring, maybe next fall -- and hope that the weather is better!
