On the evening of Aug 04, 2023, members of the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science came for a tour of the RIT Observatory. I'm a member of ASRAS and attend their meetings regularly; I go to their observatory in the town of Ionia several times each year. So I figured it was time to return the favor and invite them to see our facilitites.

We then went to the dome, where I demonstrated the telescope and television setup, and we discussed various aspects of observing in Rochester, NY. At the rolloff structure, we talked about safety issues involved with large, heavy pieces of moving equipment.
Back inside the Observtory House, I explained two of the current research projects we're doing at the observatory:
After a period of spirited conversation, the visit ended.
