Apr 26, 2019: Cub Scout Troop 750 visits the Observatory

On the night of Apr 26, 2019, members of Cub Scout Troop 332 of Henrietta, NY came to visit the Observatory. There were 7 scouts in the group, along with a few adults.

Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy night, so we couldn't take a look at celestial sources through our telescopes. Instead, we

• talked about how telescopes work
• investigated the phases of the Moon (after drawing some pictures of it)
• learned how one can study and prepare to be a scientist
• held a question-and-answer session about objects in space

The scouts seemed very interested in our collection of celestial and terrestrial globes (well, with one or two exceptions).
