Mt. Takao is about 4..m from central Tokyo
Very early one morni..Mitaka for Mt. Takao
After a 50-minute tr..ok a chair lift ...
... to go halfway up..k of safety features
The hills are heavily wooded
Along the main trail.. a Buddhist temple `
The view from halfwa..city of Hachioji ...
... if one looks beyond the hills
I took a "short" sid..w and steep path ...
... to the Jataki Fa..pressive, I'm afraid
But the stream makes a nice bath tub.
"Mt. Takao" sounds l..eans "Mount Octopus"
The main trail is ne.., and not very steep
This manhole cover c..es a Buddhist priest
The Yakuoin Temple w..n the eighth century
The main gate is watched by four ...

... spirits.
But more famous are .. has a long nose ...
... while the novice has a small beak
At the summit, looki..Fuji? (I couldn't)
