Some simulated all-sky observations

You can find a tiny catalog with Stromgren photometry for a small number of stars at

strom_cat.mags

This file has a format like this:

#name      sptype        u      v      b      y   beta

I've created a set of simulated observations of these stars over a single night. Each star was observed 3 times, at different airmass, in the filters u, v, b, y -- note no observations in the H-beta filters. You can find the simulated data at

fake_obs_A.dat

The data was generated using a relationship like this:


  instr_mag  =   cat_mag   +  k1*X  +  k2*color  +    C

where the parameters k1, k2, C have different values in each passband. The "color" term is


   u     (u - v)
   v     (v - b)
   b     (b - y)
   y     (b - y)
