Identify sources in the X-ray sky

This project must be done by individuals.

The eROSITA survey shows the entire sky in X-rays. The map is drawn in galactic coordinates, so that the disk of the Milky Way Galaxy runs across its middle.

Your job: identify at least 5, and preferably 10, discrete sources in this map.

• make a copy of the digital image and annotate it with circles and labels to indicate the sources
• write a list which provides for each source you have labelled
  • a name for the object
  • position in galactic coordinates
  • position in (RA, Dec)
  • a brief description of the object, which must contain its class (star, galaxy, planetary nebula, HII region, etc.)

Submit a digital copy of your annotated image, and a paper copy of your list.
