Ski Dubai!

Near the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, you can find the SkiDubai complex, which contains several indoor ski slopes. Check out some of the pictures taken by tourists:

The largest slope in the complex has a length of about 400 m and a vertical drop of about 60 m.

  1. What is the average angle of the slope?
  2. If the coefficient of kinetic friction on the slope is μ = 0.05, how fast would a skier be going at the bottom of the slope?
  3. Do you agree with the following statement, taken from the SkiDubai.com resort website

    Ski Dubai has 5 runs that vary in difficulty, height and steepness. The longest run being 400 meters with a fall of over 60 meters, making it the world’s first indoor black run.
