A rotating wheel pulls a rope

A big wheel of radius R = 1.20 m spins clockwise at an initial angular speed of 3.90 rad/s, but it is gradually slowing down at an angular acceleration of -1.30 rad/s^2. Wrapped around the rim of the wheel is a rope, from which a box hangs.

As you answer the questions below, please use unit vector notation. Every answer (except for part c) must be a VECTOR.

  1. What is the vector direction of the wheel's angular velocity?
  2. What is the initial velocity of the box?
  3. How long will it take the wheel to come to a stop?
  4. What is the total angular displacement of the wheel from now until it stops rotating?
  5. What is the total displacement of the box?
