Review session

You ask questions, I provide examples and guidance.

The final exam will consist of one page of multiple-choice questions, followed by four to six pages of problems for you to solve. You may bring with you to the exam a single sheet of paper with at most 30 equations written on it. An equation has one equals sign, like this:

         delta L           force
       ---------- * E  =  --------
           L                area

Not sure what will be covered on the final exam? Perhaps you should read the topics we've covered in class. That would be a start. There are some items which might appear by name in this list, but which you must still understand. Examples (not a complete list) are

• Young's modulus
• physical pendulum
• resonance
• damped harmonic motion
• decibels
• speed of sound through a medium
• sound waves created in a pipe
