Physics 212 Lecture: "Conduction."
Jan 7, 1997
- Conduction is one of three mechanisms for transferring
conv from one place to another
- Conduction occurs when neighboring atoms and molecules in
a static substance bump into each other
- The thermal conductivity of a substance describes the efficiency
with which it conducts heat
This lecture discusses material in Chapter 13 of Cutnell and Johnson.
