A circular turntable of radius R = 3 m and mass M = 120 kg sits on a frictionless bearing which allows it to spin freely. Joe, who is an average human being of mass m = 60 kg, stands on the circular turntable. He is d = 2 m from the center of the turntable. Everything is motionless.
Suddenly, Joe leaps forward with a speed of v = 4 m/s. He jumps so far that he leaves the turntable and lands on the ground. The turntable begins to spin slowly in the opposite direction.
Q: How long does it take the turntable to complete one full revolution?
