Q:  Are the units the same on both sides of this equation?


                      x    =   R * theta


        Let's see:

                 (meters)  =   (meters) * (radians)


        Well, um, not really.  We seem to have an extra factor of
        "radians" on the right-hand side.

        But that's okay!  Radians aren't really units.  They only
        act like units sometimes.
