Little Billy goes to the waterslide park. He tries the newest attraction, the Human Cannon-Slide. A giant cylinder shoots people out at a speed of v = 25 m/s. They slide along a frictionless water-coated Teflon surface, which is flat at first, but then rises upward.
Q: Should you use ENERGY or MOMENTUM to solve this problem? Why? Q: How high, H, does Little Billy rise?
"Wow, that was fun!" squeals Little Billy. "I will do it again!" He goes into the cannon to get ready. However, just before the cannon fires, his identical twin Little Bobby crawls onto the track.
Little Billy slams into Little Bobby. "Ouch, ouch!" says Billy. "Ouch, ouch!" cries Bobby. Together, they slide up the ramp.
Q: Should you use ENERGY or MOMENTUM to solve this problem? Why? Q: How high, H, do the intertwined twins rise?
